Addis Ababa, To-day.
The greatest number of air attacks ever launched in a single day were made on Saturday by Italian fhers and continued yesterday, bombs being literally rained down on both fronts and in many regions to the rear. Observers estimate that all the available bombing squadrons were
engaged.
The majority of the bombs are stated to have been gas bombs, but the Abyssinian authorities report that comparatively slight losses were suffered, out of all proportion to the enormous expenditure of material made by the Italians."
Several Italian planes even flew to the Lake Tsana district, drop- ping bombs on the village of Debinat, situated between the Lake and Debra Tabor. A number of bomb attacks were also made in the dis- tricts of Wolkait and Casta where the frontiers of Eritrea, Sudan and Abyssinia meet. The Abyssinian rife fire was so effective that one plane was brought down in flames, both the occupants being found dead.
