Senator Thomas Calls For Stabilisation

RESOLUTION FORMULATED FOR NEXT CONGRESS

Washington, To-day. Silver will be made an early issue at the next Congress as a result of the introduction of a re solution by Senator Thomas call- ing upon the Treasury to "pro- ceed immediately" with the Government's silver policy.

Senator Thomas said he would press for action on this resala- tion at the next session, begin ning on January. 3.

The resolution demands the con- tinuance of silver purchases until la ratio of 25 per cent, silver and 75 per cent. gold has been reached. (or a price of $1.29 has been attain- led. After this has been achieved the price should be stabilised by a "free sale and purchase of silver" at that price.-Beuter.
