"Stocks: Continued buying of Utility issues stimulated the whole List, with the underlying sentiment clinging to the belief that legisla tion in connexion with Utility issues would be modified.

"Grains: Corn was the leader in the advance in grain prices. Trad- ing was active. Talks of light] stocks of Corn and an improved shipping demand were the principal influences. The continued strength of the foreign markets has fnfluenced Wheat. The Winnipeg Wheat Ex- change ruled firm. There was no moisture in the dry sections of the South-West.

"Cotton: There was a steady de: mand for Cotton. The market was slightly broader and somewhat more; general in character.

"Rubber: This market was quiet, hut steady. The rally in Sterling find the steadiness of other markets were the principal factors for the rise in Rubber prices. Commission houses were the principal buyers. Outside interests were quiet and there was no factory interest In ovidence.
