Tiny Raft.

Esthonian, aged 27, spent two terrifying days and nights on a six-foot raft before they were rescued by the Grace Line steamer Santa Elena. 15 miles off the west coast of Mexico.

They had stowed away in the Japanese tramp steamer Kuruma Maru at Galveston, Texas, hop- ing to reach the Far Eest. When they found that they would be given up to the police at San Pedro, California, where the Kurama Maru was to call. they į built a tiny raft and launched it from the Japanese vessel.
