MACAO RACES
TOMORROW
(By AJAX).
1n an interesting card, two events promise to provide race fans with thrilling sport at the Macao Race Meeting to be held to-morrow. The Chu Kiang Han- dlcap will probably be the best race of the day, and a number of good class ponies are entered. The Sydney Handicap will also produce a good race, and among the Australian candidates for the race is City of Melbourne, į who is looked upon as a good thing.
...The field in the Huang, Ho Handicap is small, and among the ponics there seems very little to touch Prestwick, top weight, while Whitehall should have very little difficulty in securing a place.
With customary elvic cere many, members of the Livery Guilds of the City attended at the Guildhall to elect the Lord Mayor, for the ensuing year. The ceremony was preceded by Divine Service at St. Lawrence Jewry Church attended by the Lord Mayor Elect, Alderman Percy Walter Greenaway, who is a member of the firm of Messrs. Daniel Greenaway & Sans, printers and stationers in the City. Alderman Percy Greenaway (centre), earrying a posy-an ancient custom-walking in the procession to the church.
