ADVERTISING
IS THE ART
OF MAKING KNOWN!
nawa.
•VERY piece of news'in the press is advertising. Similarly every advertisement in the press in Commercial advertising is much more than making known; it is the business of publicly announcing something-a commodity, a service, an event-in a manner which enables the public to participate in the advantages offered in the announcement.
ITS PURPOSE IS NOT COMPLETED BY MAKING
THE ANNOUNCEMENT There must be an economic transfer. The public must be made to realise the value which the Ranouncement offers and to take action.
ADVERTISING IS SUCCESSFUL ONLY IN SO FÅR AS IT RESULTS IN GAIN TO THE ADVERTISER.
