Cars And Drivers On Alpine Trials,
London Aug. 4. British cars, driven by British drivers, have gained a remarkable series of successes in the Interna- tional Alpine six-day motor trial.
The first British win was in the Coupe des Alpes, fer cars of 2,000 c.c. This event was captured by a team of Talbot cars.
Then a team of Invictas narrowly defeated an Armstrong Siddeley team and won the Glacier Cap.
In the rage for cars of 1,100 0.5%) to 1,500. c., all the first three places were filled by British cars. a Frazer-Nash winning the event. with two Wolseley cars close behind. A team of Alley's won the Coupe des Alpes for 600 to 1,100 cc. cars, while many wins were secured by Lagondas, Singers, and Morris cars.
