..When the tour is completed, the refrigerator will have encircled the globe, covering more than 26,000 miles by sea, and will have carried probably more kinds of fruits than any other refrigerator in the world.

On its arrival back in New York on October 11, the apparatus will be taken to the World Fair in Chicago for exhibition next Summer to- ether, with the "Visitor's Book" that accompanies it on the tour.

This "Log Book" which is signed by people who go to view the ap- paratus, contains. many, famous signatures from San Francisco, Honolulu, Kobe, Yokohama Shanghai, and during the liner's stay in Hong Kong many others

As soon as the ship arrives in port, the Dollar Steamship Line in! conjunction with the local agents, of the Frigidaire Corporation arrange. for parties of visitors to examine the refrigerator, and at each port of call, rare fruta peculiar to the district are placed in the unit to prove its efficiency.

In each port the stuff of the ship! also put in a display, generally in the form of a tempting salad.

With the production of their two and a quarter millionth apparatus the Frigidaire, Corporation claim to have more than 1,000,000 refrigera tors in use than any other maker.

The report that the China Mer- chants S: N. Co. is negotiating a |loan of $30,000,000 from a foreign shipping firm for the reorganisation of the company has been denied by responsible officials of the .com pany.
