To-day's Investiture At Government House

Mrs. H. T. Creasy Receives Order Of M. B. E.

THREE

OTHER DECORATIONS

The first Investiture of the year took place al Government House, this morning, a large number of guests being present.

The bright dresses of the ladies, mingling with the more con- servative dress of the men, provided a colourful background for the ceremony and coupled with the attendant dignity of an Investiture, made it a delightful one. Uniforms were there' in abundance, and while morning coats were in predominance, many came in lounge suits, lending a touch of informality to the scene.

The principle recipient among the honours list was Mrs. H. T. Creasy who received the M.B.E., others being Mr. Li Po-kwai, J.P., and Mr. Wong Kwong-tin who both received Certificates of Honour and Mr. Abbas Arculil who received the decoration of an Associate

Serving Brother of the Order of St. John of Jerusalem.

"On behalf of the Government, I thank you both for the great ser- vices which you have rendered, and congratulate you on the recognition. which they have received."

Conferring the Insignia of an Associate Serving Brother on Mr. A. Arculli, His Excellency said:
