amuse- ment owing to the outbreak of meningitis prevented the appear- ance of Mr. Thomas Lowe, the baritone, at the song reeltal in the Helena May Institute yesterday.

His place was taken by Miss Edris d'Aquino, who sang nine songs, her. numbers including "My Mother Bids me Bind my Hair," "Who Is Sylvia?" and "Maiden's Wish" "La Serenata," "L'Amour Captif" and "The Nightingale," all of which were well received. (Continued at foot of next column.)
