SIMILARITY OF COLOURS.
H.M.S.
At King's Park yesterday after Hermes fifteen played a pointless draw with the Kowloon Rugby Club.
A much stronger side than that which represented the Airmen in their last encounter with the now- ly-formed Club and which lost by 6 points to 3 gave a very much improved display yesterday. Though Kowloon were continually un the offensive their movements lacked the finish required for scoring · purposes. Sutor proved a most able full-back for the Hermes and
his he repeatedly saved line with well-judged kicks touch. He was undoubtedly the outstanding player in the visiting fifteen...

"A" team v. Volunteers (Friend. toy), on G.S.C.C. ground on Sunday
Skinner, the Kowloon full-back, gave an improved display and was very safe, though his tendency to keep too near the ball may place him in some awkward situations in future games. Black, who do putised for Crozier at the base of the serum, was deadly in his tackling but his forwards were far too crude in their heeling to give him many real chances to gain an advantage before passing

Whitley, who came in for Keith Murtay on the wing, was unfor tunate in not scoring on two oc- ensions when he went very close. Ferguson on the other wing was lever-dangerous but he was too
well-marked to effect
score.
Kilby showed good understanding with Black and was good in his handling. Of the Torwards
Walters and Riddell were the most prominent.
Confusion was caused time and again through the similarity of the colours of both teams, and it would probably be a good thing for the Kowloon Club to wear white vests in their next encount er with the Hermes.
