"THE BOUDOIR DIPLOMAT."
This is a quasi-Ruritanian affair which involves the usual treaty between neighbouring States, an obstinate War Minister, his attrac tive and flirtatious wife and a handsome haro who uses his talents as a gigolo for his coun-2 try's sake. He had unfortunately just retired from a large privata practice after meeting the "only girl," and it took the atrains of the Montevertan National Anthem to his conscientious

Hundreds of children, and hun-; dreds more who used to be children, will be thrilled to the oft-told but deathless adventures of Tom and Huck, Becky and Aunt Polly, Injun Joe and Muff Potter, commencing to-day in the King's Theatre, when Mark Twain's classic of childhood, is to be screened.

of such capable young players as Jackie Coogan, Mitzi Green, and Junior Durkin, it is well nigh the greatest story ever told in audible celluloid. The production is faith- ful to the letter. Every whit of Mark Twain's original Is beauti- ful and impressively translated to the screen.
The only picture that ever approached it for sheer magni- ficence of direction, production, and acting is "Peter Pan"--but "Peter Pan" was a silent picture.
"Tom Sawyer" is, and perhaps will remain, the talk of the talkie age for some time to come. If you fail to see it you will be missing!

"BILLY THE KID."
It is a strange coincidence that on the same day King Vidor was film- ing his biggest scene in the historic western story, "Billy the Kid," at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, the Iast surviving member of the posse which captured the real Billy at Stinking Springs, New Mexico, died at Douglas, Arizona.
Jim East, Sheriff Pat Garrett and two others captured Billy Bonney and returned him to Lincoln. This incident is recreated in Vidor's talking picture; also The Kid's" subsequent sansational escape from fail, and the melodramatic three days slege of the McSween home at
Lincoln. John Mack Brown plays Billy and Wallace Beery Is Sheriff Pat Garrett. The picture will open on Sunday in the Queen's
Theatre.
