M. Candace first reports that on June 30, 1930, the French merchant tonnage aggregated 3,530,879 tons with 2,500,00 TOSS, as compared

Considering the average age of vessels it is noteworthy that there was a slight improvement on the 1929 5gures (9 per cent. of vessels under five years old, and 36 per cent. of vessels from 5 to 10 years old) in the past year (12 per cent. of vessels less than 5 years, and 26 per cent. of vessels from 5 to 10 years).
