BL Apear Lane steamers have excellent accommodation for 1st and 2nd class passengers.. All steamers are fitted with wireless and Erry & qualified surgeon,
Manila, Sept. 5. Because they ventured out of their hiding place on board the 3.8. Tjisondari last night, while the steamer was docked, at Fier 5. two stowaways who boarded the ship at Shanghai and who had eluded discovery, since then, were. arrested last night by secret ser- vice agents,
The two stowaways, Volentin Pivorvaroff, 20, Polish citizen, and George Lambrihules, 23, Greek citizen, were taken to the secret service headquarters, at Luneta station and were ques- tioned. They admitted that they were stowaways and that they boarded the ship at Shanghai on August 27.
Investigation showed that they hid themselves on board the steamer in one of the life-boats, At- about 8 p.m. yesterday they left their hiding place and roamed. aimlessly about the ship. They were seen by the master' of the vessel who thought they were Manila residents looking the ship
over.
The captain of the ship finally classed them as suspicious char- acters and called up the secret service station. The two men were arrested and taken to head- quarters for investigation. They will be turned over to customs im- migration authorities this morn- ing for deportation to Shanghai.
