SCOUTS AND GUIDES ATTEND.

Hong Kong, the distant but very important outpost of the vast British Empire, to-day observed in reverence the celebrations of Empire Day, special services for children and young people being held in St. John's Cathedral and the Catholic Cathedral, respectively.

School children of all nationalities from all the learning institutions of the Calony, joined in the service in St. John's Cathedral, which was at- tended by nearly a thousand.
