Lieut. Trunch said that ho landed and motored to the spot where the machine fell. He found the body of Fell near some tennis courts. He examined the parachute and found that Fell had not pulled the cord to open it.

The theory of Dr. W. Stalker was that the long mental strain and than the sudden loss of control of his machine caused Fell to lose con- trol of his mental faculties. "That would account for his not pulling the cord of hia parachute," the doctor said. "His mind had become a blank under the long strain.

The Coroner said he thought the parachute in the back seat could not have been properly strapped in at Biggin Hill. They did not know quite if it was properly strapped in. The verdict Was Accidental Death.
