B.I. Apcar Line steamers have excellent accommodation for 1st and 2nd class passengers. All steamers are fitted with wireless and carry a qualified surgeon.
Two failed to put in an appear- ance in Court, after paying bail of $25 each.
Boarding Officer C. H. Thompson pointed out that the Yuen Sang usually carried a large number of emigrants, and that every one go. ing on board had to pass a medical test. The accused went on board without permission and without medical examination. Thus there was a danger of spread- ing disease throughout the ship.
Comdr. Hole agreed with this statement but said that owing to the fact that two had falled to come to Court, he could not fine the other twenty $25. The accused were each fined $20 or twenty days' jail.
