Mrs. Molly Nohreteae, of Seattle, Washington, using the "lie detector," an invention of August Vollmer, who is consultant of Pre- sident Hoover's Crime Commission. This machine was recently used to obtain a confession from a man who is now serving a Hío term as an habitual criminal. According to E. D. Colvin, prosecuting Attorney of Seattle, the machine was need on the prisoner for eight hours before a confession came,
