MR. FENG WAI-Commissioner of Publie Utilities in the Canton Govern- ment. lie has been in office seven years a fact which speaks for itself. Many inrovements in the Municipality are attributable to Mr. Feng and he is still doing good work (Canton News Agency).
AT THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CATHEDRAL-The group at the wedding of Mr. Marcus A. Carvalho and Miss Ellaline Osmund on September 15. The bride wore a picture frock of ivory crepe georgette and carried à bouquet of white roses with maid on hair fern. Mr. A. W. Roza gave the bride away. Mrs. A. W. da Roza (the bride's sister) was matron of honour. There were four bridesmaids, the Missess Patricia dos Remedios, Sylvia de Remedios, Carmen Xavier and Franceses Gomes, Miss Hower girl. Masters Bruno and Manuel da Roza served as pages.

SHEK O HILLSIDE-One of the country residences on the east coast of Hong Kong Island, where the community has its own golf course. A con- siderable distance out from the city, Shek O is within comparatively easy reach by motor and a part of the drive can be quite enjoyable.
