MAGNITUDE OF PROBLEM

The following is the first instalment of a lecture on "Melaria in Its Relation to Man and Mosquito," by Dr. A. R. Wellington, Director of Medical and Sanitary Services:-

1. Malaria in its restricted sente means a disease of humans caused by a microscopic organism which invades the corpuscles of the blond, feeding on them, des- troying them and excreting poisons which cause fever.

2. Malaria in its fullest sense
