INTERNATIONAL

RECAPITALISATION

PLAN

THE CHINA MAIL,

A plan for the recapitalisation of the International Mercantile Marine Com- pany has been announced by the direc tors.

It was explained that the stockhold- ers would be given 20 dollars cast and one share of the New No-Per Common stock for each share of Preferred stock held, and one-fifth of a share of No- Par Common stock for each share of present. Common stock held.

The plan, if it is approved by the stockholders at their meeting on June 24, will eliminate a capital deficit of 29,000,000 dollars (about £6,000.000) and leave the company free to distri bute dividends more readily when earn- ings justify it.
