Archie Compston, the British golf professional (whose photo appears on page 9), has repeated hfs former victory over Walter F. T. Hunter (U.S.A.) met J. Hagen, the American "crack." The latest match between them resulted in Compston winning by 8 up and 7 to play.

It will be recalled that Compston won the first match sensationally. Then the present match was arranged. After cry. ing off, Hagen consented to play.

London, Yesterday. The 36 holes match at Moor Park resulted in Compston win- ning by 8 and 7. Compston led by 2 holes at the end of the first 18. Four thousand spectators follow- cd the afternoon play. Hagen was listless bat he won the 5th (of the second 18). Here Compston ran into a bunker.

After that Compston won six consecutive holes to clinch the issue.

The Morning's Play

Owing to Hagen arriving late- in the morning the start was de- layed for half an hour. Hagen the first hole where Compston pushed out his drive, topped his second stroke and found a bunker with his third. Compston won the second hole and made the score all square. He holed a six yärds birdie at the seventh to win that hole and be come one up. At the turn he was two holes up.

Whereas Compston did the first nine holes in 86, Hagen took 38. The 11th hule was halved, Hagen missing 2 six foot putt Compston annexed the 12th to be come 3 up but Hagen won the 13th through Compston missing a two foot putt.

After hitting a tree with his second stroke, Hagen gave up the 14th but won the 17th so that the score was still Hagen two up. The 15th, 16th and 18th holes were halved.-Reuter.
