VOTED SCOTLAND'S
LEADING SPIRIT
"Red Hackin" was not a chance inspiration but a careful and conscious ideal of producing the best in Scotch Whisky
That this ideal was achieved became apparent when at the Brewers' Exhibition in London, the Exhibition which is the Hallmark of the Trade, "Red Hackle" without one dissenting vote was accorded first place against all comers in the com. petition for Scotch Whiskies. .. Once you have tested "Red Hackle" you will also give it your vote.

A Dutch Station
And speaking of 4 BF (Bratagi), this station is one of the best of the Dutch East Indies amateur con- cerns. It is operated by Mr. J. F. Meyer, an enthusiast who is real- ly painstaking in everything that is sent out from his station. He would appreciate reports from Malagan listeners, and will answer "them over the air in English.

.The orchestra question
is a very difficult one in Singapore, 49 owners of dance pavilions and theatres find it difficult to secure, except at an expense which would be financial suicide, the services of orchestras which can please all sections of the public. I am not speaking dis paragingly of any of the local or- chestras, let it be clearly understood. But change is the essence of all things, and would brighten all our efforts to create a pleasant passing of dull hours.

WHAT IS BEING DONE IN MALAYA
[From the "Singapore Free Press" Wireless Correspondent.]
The experimental work between 2ME Sydney (28.8 metres) and Bandoeng on 17 metres has been very interesting to listen in during the past few days. 2ME has vastly improved recently benefiting largely from the painstaking tests which have been carried out with the help of ANE, POG, PCL, and other Dutch stations. I heard Kootwyk and Sydney talking direct to each other on a Tuesday night, and both ends were loud and clear, and the experimenters were very pleased to have such good result, spending much time in congratula- tions 2ME (Sydney) is a 26- kilowatt Marconi transmitter, with a late type swinging beam serial. Mr. E. T.
