RUMOUR MATERIALISED
A rumour that has for long been prevalling among the European ship
and especially ping community, ainong the river vessels plying up the West River to Kong Moon and Can- ton, has at last materialized.
The rumeur was to the effect that the s. "Yuet On" and the a.. "Tai Lee," vessels that hitherto plied up river to Kong Moon, would be plac- ed by their respective owners on the Canton run instead.
This morning it was learned from a reliable source that the s.s. "Yue: at 10.30 o'clock bound for Canton. On" left her wharf here
The vessel sailed under the com- mand of Captain Cornand. Her local agents are the Tai Shing Steamship Company.
It will be recalled that the "Yuet with the 5.5. On" recently collided "Sam Nam Hof" while she was pro- ceding down river from Kong Moon. The damage sustained was not of a serious nature.
