Band," a talented group of musicians from H.M.S. "Suffolk" was in attendance, giving much pleasure during the night with a fine pro- gramme. AT THE UNIVERSITY.-The annual "social" of St. John's Hall, which, took the form of a concert and dance and proved to be an unqualified success. The Warden (the Rev. C. B. Shann, M.A.) and the chairman (Mr. C. W.. Lam) are

seated in the centre. Among those who took part in the entertainment were Mr. W. K. Fung and Mr. S. F. Chan' (Chinese classical music), Mr. H. C. Leong (violin solo) ac-. companied by Mr. F. K. Chan, Miss S. H. Cheung (Chinese song) accompanied by Messrs. Ng, Fung Chan and Chan, Mr. S. S. Ong (musical'saw) accompanied by Mr. F. K. Chan. A sketch entitled "Hostel Life" was presented by "Our Own Regulars."
