Team to Meet Civil Service C.C.
Sir, I think the arrangements made by the Shanghai Billiard Association for the visit of Mr. Falkiner were not so good this year as before. In previous years when Mr. R. C. K. Johnston was president of the Association he personally took great interest in Baker fixing up the table at the Town Watch Hall, and fixing dates with the variopu clubs so that as soon as Falkiner arrived he had a cut- and-dried programme all ready. The public were duly informed beforehand what the arrange- ments were and we could buy a season ticket for $10, so that we had something to look forward to The previous visit was a great success but the recent visit was a failure. It has been said that Falkiner had to visit the various

I know that several clubs have no accommodation for an exhibition game, but would have no objec- tion to joining other clubs at some central place, and as there was no joint venture through the Billiard Association those clubs could not take part. I only mention this matter because there is a great deal of grumbling, and I hope that the Billiard Association will re- vert to the old arrangement in future. I think also the games for the Senior Championship would be much better if played on the Association table instead of in clubs.
