These had onabled her to send £140 to the Ross In- stitute and, Mrs. Southorn A4- nounced, she had just received a telegram expressing appreciation of : the contribution.

Proceeding, rs. Southern sald that these International parties have been an excellent departure and they hoped next year to develop the international side. The Institute wished to become the headquarters of the ladies of Hong Kong of all nationalities and she hoped that members would do their best to make the institute the meeting place of the women of Hong Kong.

Reference was also made by Mrs. Southorn to the Secretary who has been a success in every way and has worked untiringly to develop the Helena May Institute, *
