These two sides had previously sach scored a point at the expense of the other, and in anticipation of a keen tussle, there was a big turn-Sat, out at the Happy Valley diamond on Saturday: The fans did not go away disappointed, as the game proved very interesting through. out.

The air-tight fielding of the Fili pino lads was greatly responsible for their victory, their "big three," Zafra (pitcher) Hachiuma (cat cher) and Terry Leonard (first baseman) showing up to excellent advantage.

Both teams were blanked in the first inning. In the second stanza, David Leonard scored the first run for the Filipinos, the same player again crossing the home plate in the seventh when J. Alvares also added another run for the winners. For the first time in the bistory of the Chinese team, the "Dragons" were blanked out in all seven innings.
