BOWLING GREEN v K.C.C.
28
Acknowledged as probably tha gamest side in the baseball league, the South China "Dragons" lived up to their reputation on Saturday when they snatched a very narrow victory from the Hong Kong Base ball Club.
The Hon. Mr. W. T. Southorn and party arrived punctually at 4 p.m. and followed the game through- out with the greatest interest. His Excellency opened the proceedings by pitching the first ball-and it was a regular "atrike" too!
The Club were in fine batting form and drew first blood in the 16 initial inning. They scored three runs and then blanked their oppon- ents.

The "Dragons" secured two runs in the third frame and were still two runs in arrears when they went
up to bat in the seventh stanza. It was then that they pulled the game
out of the fire, as amidst great ex- citement they tied the score.
In the extra inning that was played, W. Sling scored a home run and won the match for hia, side. It was very fortunate for the batter to make the clrcult as his hit a soft 20 "texas-leaguer"-only deserved one base, the ball having apparently got mixed up with the crowd lining the ropes behind the first baseman.
