BOWLS.

ALTERED PROSPECTS FOR TO-MORROW.

THE CHAMPIONSHIPS.

[By "Bias."]

With most of the Clubs behind in their own singles and doubles annual fixtures, and the time for the opon Championship having had to be extended, this week has seen most of the greens full. Nothing atartling has taken place in the Championship yet except perhaps, the elimination of Lapsley Home time ago. The field is so large this year that it would serve no pur- pose to try and give the names of the last night.

The question when two play ers decide to play on a green, which is neutral to both of them or even only neutral, to one of them, it is a gracious act to write to the secre- tary concerned and ask for a rink, hs only Inst night members of a club at the valley had to all out and wait, even though they had ar- ranged a match, because a cham- pienship game that nobody knew. anything about got in before them.

In the first division Craigen- gower at home if their form to- date is true, should beat Civil Ser vice and remain at the top of the league. If they go down we shall have to think that their victory over Kowloon ·· Docks

was very lucky. Kowloon Docks v. the Bowl- ing Green is anyone's game. It is the sort of game I like to see be-

cause the players all know one nn other and it develops into a friend- ly hate. Taikoo at home are, I think, too strong for the K.C.C. but their present temporary.green may he just as much a handicap to the home team as the visitors.

East Point are almost certain to remain at the top of the table; but I hear that they may not be func- tioning much longer as on account of the closing down of the Re- finery a great number of their players are going home in the im- mediate future.

Craigengower Seconds are not strong and are up against a much fancied side in Club de Recreio "A" at King's Park. I cannot see them wia.
