CAMMELL LAIRD'S SECURE LUNARD CONTRACT.

The Cunard Hiner "Carmania," which arrived in the Mersey.on November 28, from London, has entered Messrs. Cammell Laird and; Company's yard, to undergo exten-i sive overhaul and alterations to her passenger accommodation, which will make the vessel practically a new ship, for the Birkenhead firm Is to carry out the entire survey work on the machinery, boilers and hull and will, also inatal two new funnels on the vessel.

Messrs. Cammell Laird. and Co. are also supplying the "Carmania's" sister ship, the "Caronia," with new funnels, and these will be plac ed on board while the "Caronia" is undergoing repairs and overhaul in one of the Liverpool docks. The "Caronia" will take her next sail- ing from the Mersey on February 4 next, and the "Carmania" on February 18.
