Miss Annie Phillips, 23 years of age, giving evidence, said that she! was employed as nurse to Lt. Commander Bucknell's child in South Africa at £3 a month. She was not anxious to come out to the F.M.S. with them, but Mrs. Bucknell told her that it would be a chance for her to see the country and that she could go back when she wanted to.
