4 GOALS EACH.

HOCKEY CLUB MEET ROYAL NAVY.

AN EXCITING FINISH.

Behind practically throughout the match, the Hong Kong Hockey Club 1st XI rallied in strong fashion yesterday against the Royal Navy with whom they ulti- mately shared eight goals.

Possibly. the Club had "hard lines." Before their last goal came (i.c.. when the Navy led 4-3), the captain (E. 3. R. Mitchell) hnd a The bang at the Navy's goal. Navy goalie stopped the ball, prac- tically a the goal line, with his hand and then threw out the ball. A peanity holly was not awarded. If it had, the Club would probably have scored bat, on the other hand, they may have not.

}

At any rate, both sides enjoyed a first rate game that ended with an exciting finish.

At half-time, the senior service led by 2-nit, Shortly before the end they were 4-2 and the equalis- ing goal came in the last few minutes.
