Education Board.
A letter from the Government was read, stating that the period of Mr. B. Wylie's appointment as a member of the Education Board: terminates on October 26, and in- quiring what arrangements the Association would wish.made. It was unanimously decided to nominate the Rev. G. R. Lindsay, M.A., to fill the vacancy.
[Note: Other K.R.A. activities are recorded separately, elsewhere in this issue.]
"The Lake District is very much at the mercy of City architects who, knowing nothing of the con- ditions of the country-side, come here at the instance of wealthy business people to build feeble- minded Scottish colonial villas, with venetian blinds, twopenny little turrets and the inevitable monkey tree puzzle," said Dr. W. E. Henderson, Medical Officer for Westmorland at the Lakeland Planning Conference.
6. There was at one time a re- gulation to the effect that motor vehicles should dim their head lights when approaching other vehicles but the practice some times proved dangerous and the regulation was accordingly res- cinded. To introduce a regula- tion as suggested by your Com- mittee would be difficult, if not impossible, of application, as this would require a classification of the streets of the Colony into well lighted and badly lighted streets.
7. Al three bus companies" have been approached 'on the subject of time tables. The Kaiį Tack Co. is already running top time schedule and the other two companies have expressed their to time willingness to run schedule if it is found to be prac- ticable.
.
8. A regulation to the effect that no one can be allowed to stand on the footboard of a bus whilst in motion is embodied in the proposed new regulations; and is under consideration.

Committee's "Decisions.
As regards. No. 3, the com- mittee agreed to renew the recom mendation that the trees and stone curbs in Canton Road should be removed, seeing that they serve no useful purpose and prevent the road from bearing the amount of traffic that it should.
"As regards No. 5, the committee resolved to ask the Government to: accord to them the privilege of seeing the plans for the recon- struction of the area adjoining the "Star Ferry wharf, before they were put into execution, and at the same time to express to the Government their opinion that the present experimental "ar- rangement is most unsatisfactory. Before the subject of the bus service was dismissed, it was de- cided to write to the Captala Superintendent of Police, advocat- ing an official stopping place în Kowloon City at the farthest point to which the buses travel, namely the junction of Sai Kung and Po Kong Roads, and also re- questing that, if possible, one of the stopping places along the When you have so far lost control of treatment that Dr. Williams Pink Kowloon Road should be shifted and your nerves that you "fly to pinces" direct these the footpath to the Blind
