FOUR MEN JAILED.
Police and R.O. Capture Pugitives.
THE
A jump into the harbour, a fruitless swim in tight, and ulti mate capture by the law-yuch were the experiences of four men who are now in jail regretsing their enterprise in stealing a march on the authorities."
These events necurred early yesterday morning on the arrival into port of the 8.8. "Amazone." When officers boarded the ship. the fugitives fled in different direc sion and jumped into the harbour. As a matter of fact three look to the water, to be picked up, while one deemed discretion the better part of valour.
