The programme consisted of various three-round bouts, and a special fencing contest was fought. between C.P.O. Jim Cartlidge and P.0. Smith. of HMS. “Ambrose," the former winning by, three to two.

Special two-round exhibition bouts were provided by O.P.O Jim Cartlidge, who met in turn H. Mujor (late of the East Surrey Ambrose") and P.O. Mehan Regt.), A, B, Bell (H.M.S.

(HMS. "Tamar").

Signalman Rodgers and L. S Codnor also provided an exhibition fight of three rounds.

There was also a special comedy" hon of three two-minute rounds between Puncher Smashite" and Slogger Misshitt" in which, the use of eggs was debarred by a re- quest in the programme.

This item and a few spasms by six local J. B. Turnbull, Mr. A. Turnbull, lads in which the competitors were Miss Bain, Capt. and Mrs Thomp-blindfolded, provided some thrilling son, Mr S. Sangster, Miss C. Burns and good value for The Goodman, Mr H. H. Sandeman, money. Mrs Wilkinson, Mr H. H. Jenkins.
