Arrangements have been made with the Hongkong Govertiment by the Hongkong Telephone Co., Ltd., for the early arrival of Mr. R. W Weightman, MTEE.. partner of Mbas Preece, Garden & Rider. Consulting En gingers to the Crown Colonies, to advise the local company on the most suitable and efficient type of exchange system to be employed in the operation of the local telephone service.
Mr. R. W. Weightman is one most experienced telephone aù- of the most highly qualified and thorities in England and his advics; has boon acted upon by those con trolling the telephone services in Shanghai, South Africa, and the Colonies generally.
Mr. Weightman's recommenda tious regarding the Hongkong telephone system will, no doubt, bo looked forward to with keen in- terest by the local telephone sub acribers.
LOCAL WEDDING.
RANDALL-LEE.
On Saturday afternoon St. John's Cathedral was beautifully decor- ated on the occasion of the mar riage of Benjamin Randall, son of Mr. and Mrs. B. C. Randall, and a popular member of the stock and share-broking community, to Ada Mabel Lee, daughter of Mrs. M. A. Lee and the late Mr. W. Lee. The Rev. T. B. Powell officiated, and the organist was Mr. Frederick Mason, the service being a choral one.
As the bridal party entered the Cathedral the. Choir sang "The voice that breathed o'er Eden," and at а later stage in .the ceremony, which was witnessed by a large congregation comprising frienda of both contracting parties, "Love Divine, All Loves Excelling."
The bride was given away by her brother, Mr. William Lee, who Fecently arrived from Home for the occasion. She was attired sweetly in a beautiful dress of white crepe romain trimmed with a flounce of brocaded silver tulle, and magnificent train of silver metal, combined with brocaded applications. She wore á veil of tulle illusion, finished off with a diadem of pearls and orange blossoms, all of which were made by Madame. Flint. She also car- ried a bouquet of white roses and Honolul creepers with tulle illusion.
The bride was attended by Misa Lena Mackenzie as bridesmaid;" the Misses Evelyn and Kathleen Bolt as flower girls and Master Messrs. Dyer & Beith's Loch Stanley Lee (her brother) as

flower girls wore dresses of pink and blué crepe de Chine, trimmed
with georgette handkerchiefs.
The page boy looked very pic turesque in his suit of ivory satin, with French blue cape and hat, the cape being lined with ivory..
The best iman was Mr. Georgs Zimmern.
At the conclusion of the cere mony the Wedding March was played, and after the signing of the register the newly married couple motored to Mameya's, where their photograph was Mr. J. Bartholomew's Nuggett, taken; next proceeding to the Hongkong Hotel, where there had
