CANADIAN AUTOMOBILE TRADE IN 1924.

The output for last year of the eleven motor-vehicle factories now established in Canada was 98.245 passenger cars. 18.043 trucks, and 16,172 chassis, a total of 132,460 cars, with an aggre gate seiling value of $88,240,418. This was a decrease of 10 per cent. from the 1923 production of 147.202 cars, valued at $96,614,- 176. With a capital investment of $60.5 millions, and using aw materials costing $64 millions. the industry employed 9,270 per- sons during 1924, and paid over $14.2 mitions in salaries and wages.
