Closing of Bank. Quite a lot of excitement was caused a few days ago when the Chinese general in charge of the Government troops here forced the closing of the Tai Tung Industrial Bank. This Bank was said to be financing Lu Yung-hsiang; of Marshall Cheklang, and therefore General Wu Pei-fu sent instructions to General Chang here to prevent further transactions of this nature. The closing of this Bank greatly disturbed the money market here,
and, although the Bank itself did
issue notes, runs occurred on several which ditt, including one of the biggest, The Bank of De posit.
