FRENCH BUDGET.
(Reuter's Service.)
PARIS, October 1. The prospective receipts from the Dawes scheme were reflected In the 1925 budget which M.. Clementel, Minister of Finance, presented to the finance com- mission of the Chamber. For the first time since the war the equilibrium between revenue and expenditure bas been again achieved. An innovation is the merging of the genera budget with the so-called special budger of recoverable expenditure which hitherto has formed
sup. plementary instrument, presup posing the ultimate receipt of overdue reparations payments from Germany.
The new budget estimates -expenditure at 32,456,000,000 francs and revenue at 21.854.000,000 The deficit will be met to the extent of 1.777,000,000 by new taxation including a small tax on exports, and the remainder by receipts from Germany,
