GENEVA, September 2. The Chinese delegation is very gratified at the election of Mr. Tang Taxi-ion as one of the Vices in Presidents of the Assembly of the League.

The Chairmen of the six committees of the Assembly include Slitheton Groom (Australia) Mr. Mine ichire, Adici, Japanese Ambassador to Belgium, at the head of committees one and four respectively; M. Duca (Rumania), Committee three. The last-named is the most important as It deals with 'the reduction of armaments, which the Assembly will discuss on Thursday in the presence of Mr. Ramsay MacDonald and M. Herriot

VICE PRESIDENTS ELECTED. There is good ground for believing that China will be given one of the Vice-Presidencies of the present Assembly of the League of Nailons. It is also thought likely that her request for a jeduction of her contribution to the expenses of the League from 65 to 35 nits will be granted, probably with the object of neutralising the clamour of a section of the Chiness parliamentary opposition which is in favour of Chiria's withdrawal from the League, and strengthening the position of Mr. Wellington Koo,
