Dr. Sun Yat-sen, "Father of the Republic", and possibly China's most prominent min, died in Canton at 1.80 o'clock this morning, Reports of his death had been circulating for several days past but all proved to be unfounded, when subjected to close inquiry. The most that could be learned was that Dr. Sun Yat-sen was ill but whether seriously or otherwise could not be definitely established.
