The Diplomatic Corps have foreign Chambers of Commerce in received a letter signed by the Shanghai protesting against the recognition of the

proposed Chinese Trade Mark Law.

The letter emphasises that whereas under European, Ameri- can and Japanese law appeal from the registrar of trade marks can be made to a Court of Justice, the proposed law makes no such provision, with the serious consquences that the Registration Bureau is constituted the sole arbiter in disputes regarding registration or infringement.
