AMBASSADORS' CONFERENCE,
NEW YORK, November 21. The report of Mr. Harrick, United States Ambassador at Paris, to Mr. Hughes ii rogard to the meeting of the Conference of Am- bassadors on Monday, it is under- atqud, states that Earl Crewe de clared that Great Britain hoped that France would weigh fully the set aus results of further separate action, which would imperil the existence of the Entente. If the French carried out such policy, in defiance of British wishes Groat Britain might be inclined to with draw her representativa from all Inter-Allied bodies like the Confer ence of Ambassadors and the Mili tury Control Commission.
The Italian representative strong- ly supported the British attitude.
The Belgian Ambassador. declared that he could not, without further reference to Brussels, commit Bel- gium to co-operation with Franco in further territorial anctions.
The Ambassadors considered this to nean, that Belgium had decided not to co-operate, if Great Britain and Italy determined on a formal rupture if France did not yield.
W. Camban then made the first important concession, declaring that France did not intend to take terri- torial sanctions. The draft Note an the lines that Great Britain had asbed was then completed within two hours and approved by M. Poincaré.
Mr. Baldwin and Lord Curzon on Tuesday objected to certain phrases as committing Great Britain too far to ultimate sanctions if Germany defied or ignored remonstrances. M. Poincaré accepted these amend- monte yesterday.
