At the home of Mr. and Mrs.
F. E. Jaenicke, Saturday, October 20, the marriage of Miss Ethel Tyler, a sister of Mrs. Jaenicke, to Mr. William Roland Farmer of Hongkong, China, took place.
From the ceiling of the large living room hung a great white wedding bell from which were suspended white ribbon streamers. A huge bank or flowers and foliage formed an altar, and at high noon, Mrs. T. H. So deeply rooted are these in- stincts that every now and again they act against our will, with the result that instead of being of use tous they become a real annoyance, Most of us, for example, when walking on the pavement, have experienced an irresistible impulse to avoid stepping on the cracks between the stones.
Without stopping to think of the uselessness of our action, we give ourselves any amount of trouble in our endeavour to regulaté our foot- steps.
Sooner or later we fail in our self-appointed task, and the an noyance we then experience is out of all proportion to the Importance of the matter.
