Mr. Van Andel very kindly put his motor boat at the disposal of the Club and many members were able to follow the round and watch
a very interesting race.
Next Saturday is the occasion of the opening cruise and Ladies' Day next there will be interport races between Hongkong and Singapore,
following notes on the gathering and Scottish Leagues, and re-at the Yacht Club and on Sunday
On Saturday at the Kowloon Dock Recreation Club's bowling green a historic match-"Dundee" v. Kowloon Dock-was played. During the game, and later on when the tired warriors were slak ing their parched throats, the weird
"Dunder" accent could be heard in all its pristine beauty and perfection !!!
As the twenty-six letters of he alphabet are absurdly inadequate to reproduce a phonic replica of the baffling intonations and pro- nunciations of the Forfarshire dialect that assailed our ears on Saturday, we shall not court disas ter and ridicule by attempting to render them in the vernacular.
