WHISTLING.-

PANTOMIME NITA.

The general public, or, at least, those of the general public who have visited the pantomimes in various parts of the country, dro continually heard Inning or whistling the popular songs of the diny.

To them it may be that the tube is more important than the wordu, or it may be that, in the absence of the words which they have not yet been able to grasp, the tune is the only part of the song they have learned,

Each year has its panto hite;! they may be songs, waltz songs, waltz ballade, or song fox-trats, but whatever they are in name, every- one who can sing or whistle a note, everyone who can play a mouth- organ, concerting, or piano, dis- plays his musical up-to-dateness by giving us selections from the moxi populur of the pantomiine successes, BUSY COMPOSEEN. Composers of meludies have this pantolide been prolific in their out- put. Scores and scores of songs each with a modern touch, are heing sold by the various music publishing houses.

There are many very big sc- Cosses being sung in pantone to-day. Among them is Nat ́D. Ayer's "Shuttlin' along (published by Feldman, Ted Snyder's "The Shuik of Araby" (Feldman), Walter Donaldson's "My Sweet Hortense" (Hermun Darewaki, John P. Long's "Wherever. You Are (Francis, Day, and Hunter), R. P. Weston and Bert Lee's" Our Little Garden Subbub

(Francis. Day, and Hunter), Harry Pease. Ed. G. Nelson, and Gilbert Dóolge's "Perry O'Neil" (Francis, Day, and Hunter), Tulsa, Leason Harry T. Hanbury's "We'll Buikl a Dear Little, Cute Little Love Nest Some Sweet Day" (Feldman); Melville Gideon's "If Winter Comes" (Francis. Day, and Hun- ,ter), and Will lyde's Beaver "

(Herman Darewski).

"DRA LITTLE HOUBE." "We'll build a deur little, cute little love nest some sweet day" is one of the successes at the London Hippodrome. Here are the words of the refrain:-
