HOLLAND'S NAVAL PROBLEMS.

LONDON, April 6.

The Dutch Second Chamber began the debate on the navy budget and the bill for reorganisation of the dret, which had beer opposed as unnecessary after the Washington Conference. Mr. Karnebeek declined to postpone his departare to Genoa on account of this debate. He addressed the chamber today and said that although Holland's position in the Pacific was more secure since the Washington conference. they had still to contend with the posilility of being obliged to maintain neutrality in the event of confict between other partier. The Chamber by 56. votes to 15 decided to adjourn the debate of the Bill till Mr, Karnebeek returned from Genoa.

AN AUSTRIAN'S HEART.

The body of the ex-emperor Karl was conveyed along a route lined with crowds to a temporary mausoleum in the parish church where in the presence of members of the imperial family the local bishop assi ted by other clergy conducted a funeral service. The heart had been removed to be enclosed in a crystal urn within a silver casket and rent to Austria, the body itself going to Hungary, The King of Spain sen: a wreath. Perfect weather favoured the procession. All business was suspended.
