A further advance in. the control led selling prices for standard suits. came into force on June 2 A | man's standard suit made from Grade 1 cloth will cost £1.79 6d instead of £4 4s, and a "youth's suit from the same material has risen half a crown (to £3 129 6d. Men's overcoats: will be 2 dearer at 23.59 and men's suita from the Grade 3 clath will in future te 3 5 instead of 13. The Original selling price for these was £217s 6d. Youths suits and over- coats, and boys" Rugby suits and overcoats made from this matenal are also to cost more the in- crease varying from Is 6d to 4s. All these garments are ready- made, the made-to-measure suits being unaffected by the fresh' ad- vances, which are due to the further increase in wages paid to the clothing trade operatives and the higher costs of production in other directions.
