alz. Edwards stated that on October 8th he went to thą locality in question and there saw defendant's junk. engaged is remoring, strane from the foreshore. The stone was being conveyed from the shore, to the junk in a sarapan, and fire people were on the shore quarrying the
stone.
Cross-examined by Mr. Bowley, witness waid he knew that the first defendant was constructing a breakwater for the Ad- miralty at Kowloon, and in order to construct that breakwater he required quantities of boulders such as those wit Bess had sin in the junk. There was no reason, to suppose that the stone wa going anywhere than to the Admiralty
